It’s time for some more “woo woo” in the world of horoscopes. As a personal fan of horoscopes, I believe that star signs can offer decent guidance for people curious about their futures, their directions, and their love lives. (Or at least, it can offer advice from time to time when you’re stuck.)
I’m doing this job horoscope thing. Aries was first, and now it’s time for everyone’s favorite bull: Taurus. Let’s talk about the best jobs for Taurus.
Are you a Taurus?
Tauruses are born between April 20 – May 20. If you were born during those two dates, you are a Taurus sun sign and that means this article is for you. But, you can still be a Taurus in spirit without being an actual star sign.
Oh, Taurus. As the earthiest, most grounded sign of the zodiac, your personality tends to be one that likes stability, constancy, and materially-oriented. In the world of horoscopes, yours is a star sign that’s dependable, hardworking, dependable, generous, and deeply into earthly vibes.
If that sounds like you, congrats, you’re going enjoy the career choices for Taurus signs…even if that’s not your exact star sign.
What are the best career options for Taurus signs?
Honestly? Almost anything “earthy” seems to be good for them, but these jobs in particular are great.
#1: Beautician
Girly Taurus signs are still sensual in their own way, and it often comes out in the way they look at aesthetics. In other words, Tauruses might want to take a look at the way they can add a touch of beauty to the world.
Since most Tauruses tend to be great with their hands, beauticians under these star signs tend to excel at their jobs. Whether they’re hair stylists, aestheticians, or even make up artists, you can expect a good paycheck out of this.
Beauticians have lower salaries, with the national average being roughly $18 per hour according to Indeed.
#2: Bankers/Day Traders
While they tend to be great when it comes to hands-on stuff, Tauruses tend to be meticulous and good with numbers. This makes them great for handling the material world in terms of money, stocks, and investments.
Because Taurus signs can be so grounded, they don’t panic when markets crash. They know how to ride out the problems, making them perennial winners in finance.
The finance world can have massively different payouts. Regular bankers at your local branch make $45,000 a year or so. Investment bankers, on the other hand, can make over a million per year according to this site.
#3: Accountants
Generally speaking, any finance-related endeavor will be a good match for a Taurus sign. Accountants need a high level of attention to detail for good recordkeeping, but make no mistake about it, Tauruses are going to be great at it.
This is a good job for laid-back Tauruses who maybe have Capricorn rising signs in their birth chart. You’re dependable, punctual, smart, and of course, good with growing wealth.
Accountant salaries can vary depending on what they specialize in. Indeed says it ranges between $47,000 to upwards of $90,000.
#4: Tradesman
Tauruses love a trade. It’s what they thrive on. It lets them work on their feet, get their hands dirty, and also rake in big bucks. Trades like carpentry, plumbing, lawncare, electrician work, and even masonry will all serve Tauruses well.
This is one of the best career options for Tauruses who enjoy staying outdoors or who over the whole “office life” vibe. If you’re a fan of doing things manually, working as a blue-collar tradesman would be ideal.
The vast majority of high-skilled trades jobs tend to make upward of $60,000 per year, with seniors in the fields often topping six figures.
#5: Agriculture Professional
Remember when I said that Tauruses love a good, honest day’s work? Those who are outdoorsy often do well raising crops, growing exotic plants, or even helping out with livestock. This is a great field for Tauruses who literally like to stop and smell the flowers.
Aggies, as my dad used to call them, can make some serious bank if they’re good at their jobs. If you can move up the ranks, you can make almost six figures. Ranch owners and specialty botanists can make even more.
Most farmers and botanists will make roughly $44,000 a year but managers can make upward of $80,000 a year.
#6: Chef
Taurus signs are known for four main characteristics: their connection with the material world, their dependability, their hard working personalities, and their absolute love of all things pleasing to the senses. I can’t emphasize that enough!
Translation: Taruses love their food and they’re often naturals in the kitchen.
Unsurprisingly, they tend to like working as chefs as long as they’re the type of Bulls that tends to enjoy high pressure settings. After all, James Beard himself was a Taurus. So…being an all-time legend in this field might be in the stars for you.
Chefs can earn anywhere from $44,000 to $77,000 a year, according to Salary.com. Of course, celebrity chefs can earn far, far more!
#7: Engineer
A good rule of thumb to expect with most earth signs is that it’s said they will do well with anything material. If they have a lot of interest in math and science, they may do well with engineering as a career.
Civil engineers, architects, electrical engineers, and mechanical engineers all tend to be popular with Taurus signs. This also has another perk: being very well-paid. So, Tauruses can get the finer things in life they crave, both in and out of the home. Nice!
Engineers can range from $68,000 per year to upward of $160,000 per year, according to Indeed.
